NH Seacoast Sailing Clubs

For the Beginner
The Kittery Point Yacht Club is located on the Piscataqua River in New Castle NH. Its clubhouse stands opposite Seavey Island, home of the historic Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. KPYC members race and cruise a variety of boats, but the club also sponsors the Seacoast's only public sailing school and youth racing program.
For the Casual Cruiser
Great Bay Yacht Club has been around since the 1950s when it was organized 'to foster the spirit of sailing in the community around Great Bay.' The club is located in Dover, on the Piscataqua River near the mouth of the bay, and described as an unpretentious club where members are 'just regular folks who enjoy boating.' It has a general membership and mooring rental opportunities.
For the Racer
The Piscataqua Sailing Association is located at the NH-ME border and offers racing all along the coast. Members work with local fleets, yacht clubs, and sailing schools to promote sailing and organize competitions for PHRF, J24, Lasers, and Frosties. Click here for registration information.

The Gundalow Company was established to protect the Piscataqua's maritime heritage and the environment through education. You can enjoy public sails or book personal charters on are production of the gundalow barges that were once common on NH Seacoast waterways.
