Hampton Falls
Hampton Falls NH is a picturesque town of about 2,500 residents. Most of the beautiful neighborhoods here are set among apple orchards or tucked away in wooded forests. It is truly a peaceful place to live! Each summer and autumn, the town really comes alive thanks to Applecrest Farm, which attracts visitors to its rolling fields and orchards for berry and apple picking, harvest festivals and hayrides. While you won’t find any beaches here (they’re just a short drive away, in Hampton and Seabrook!), there’s plenty to do right in town...from fishing, kayaking and canoeing on the Taylor River to hiking and snowshoeing in Clay Brook Forest. Hampton Falls has long been a bedroom community for those commuting to work in nearby Massachusetts...here, you can enjoy exceptional quality of life and a more favorable tax environment (no state income or sales tax!). While the property tax rate (2020: $21.35) is a bit higher than some Seacoast towns, it seems a fair trade for its convenient access to the border. Hampton Falls is part of School Administrative Unit (SAU) 21 and operates the Lincoln Akerman School, for children from kindergarten age up to the eighth grade. Students in grades nine through twelve attend Winnacunnet High School in Hampton.
