Hampton NH is a vibrant coastal community with about 16,000 residents. It is best known as a resort town with a sprawling sandy beach, lively boardwalk and state park which attract thousands of visitors every year. The property tax rate (2024: $16.75) is reasonable, especially with services such as curbside trash and recycling pickup. Hampton is considered one of the most commuter-friendly Seacoast towns with direct access to Route 95 from 101. The Hampton School District (SAU 90) consists of three schools; Centre School (pre-K to grade 2), Marston School (grades 3 to 5) and Hampton Academy (grades 6 to 8). For high school, students attend Winnacunnet High School which is sited in Hampton and part of SAU 21.
